Here it is, a new name and new look for our Ohana group web site. Our new name? BASIC Action Ohana Group.
BASIC was suggested to us from someone who we consider more than just a very dear friend of ours, Lisa Yasunaga. BASIC came to us as an acroynym for Brothers and Sisters In Christ. Why do we love it? Because of all the fun things you can do with an acronym like that! There’s BASIC training classes or we can remember to get back to BASICs. But seriously, why do we totally love it? Because it really fits our vision, building Christ centered friendships.
Action was suggested from our awesome brother, Stanley. If you have ever heard his testimony, you have definitely been blessed. What a word to remind us that we are to do more than just sit on the sidelines and just cheer for Jesus or to just sing songs to Him on Sunday. He wants us to actually partner with Him and follow His way of life, to build our lives on the works and word of Jesus.
