About our vision

All we want to do is build Christ centered friendships!

About our name

BASIC was suggested to us from someone who we consider more than just a very dear friend of ours, Lisa Yasunaga. She got it from her close friends of KCC, John and JaDawn Perez. The idea, it seemed, came to John while in the shower. I knew the great ideas begin in the bathroom! BASIC is an acroynym for Brothers and Sisters In Christ.

Why do we love it? Well, it’s the story. Who can not love something that begins from the bathroom! Secondly, because of all the fun things you can do with an acronym like that! There’s BASIC training classes or we can remember to get back to BASICs. But seriously, why do we totally love it? Because it really fits our vision, building Christ centered friendships.

Action was suggested from our awesome brother, Stanley. If you have ever heard his testimony, you have definitely been blessed. What a word to remind us that we are to do more than just sit on the sidelines and just cheer for Jesus or to just sing songs to Him on Sunday. He wants us to actually partner with Him and follow His way of life, to build our lives on the works and word of Jesus.

Where we do bible study

We meet at Kaimuki Christian Church in room #209.

When we do bible study

We meet at 8:30 AM. Yes, that is AM, which proves how great this group is since I actually do wake up for it.
